Today starts a series of 5 days with associated theme. Sent in by Richard, I quote " I was on the 'Denby Dawdler' special on the 22nd. April 1989 when we were, I think, the last passenger train to traverse the Wirksworth line before mothballing and certainly the last to go up the incline towards Ravenstor. (We only got as far as the exchange sidings after a rather unnerving hurtle across the points in the yard!)" We were top and tailed by a pair of class 20's".

4th of July 01 - Independance Day USA - better still near Wirksworth. South of the crossing at Holloway Road (Duffield)
27th March 02 - Early arrival of Portakabin to start building a 'station'
